Fathers Day is coming JUNE 21,2006. Here are some ideas to work with and Happy Fathers Day to all the Adlandpro Community MEN.

Ahhhhh, Memorial Day week-end was fun and went by way too fast. I know Summer officially starts on June 21st but doesn't Memorial Day seem like the start of Summer? And the first Summer holiday is Father's Day. It'll be here before you know it.
Kids love to surprise their parents on Mother's Day or Father's Day. I think they have a great sense of pride in doing something nice for their folks on that day.
There are so many great gift ideas for Father's Day. Forget some of the silly ideas you see in stores. Does Dad really need an official chnage bank or shoe buffing kit? A new tie rack? In most cases- NO.
Think of a fun gift for Father's Day. Give Dad a plant for the yard. And he can plant with the kids. For years as that plant grows he can remember doing that as a project with the kids. What about family golf lessons if he is a golfer. A gift certificate to take everybody deep sea fishing. Taking Dad on his favorite hike. A family day at the pool in honor of Dad.
Sure a new tie is nice but what about making it a fun family day centered around what Dad likes to do. Everybody golfs with Dad and thn has lunch at the clubhouse. If the family isn't golfers perhaps you let Dad go and then meet him for lunch afterward.
Does Dad tinker on old cars? Get him that piece for the old car and work with him on the project for Father's Day. Give Dad a new fishing pole and take the family on a fishing outing.
How about dinner (or lunch or brunch) at Dad's favorite place, especially if it not your favorite place.
Kids can create scrapbooks for Dads of their photos together. A friend of mine helped her kids with that and her husband thought it was his favorite Father's Day gift ever.
Father's Day can be a good day to relax and have friends or family over to celebrate lots of Dads. Plan an easy Summer dinner and enjoy the day. Give Dad a badminton set or horseshoes and get outside and play.
Handmade gifts from the kids are always a Father's Day favorite. Have your child write a "why my Dad is the best" story and give to Dad. It could be framed and saved for years to come.
At my house for Mother's Day and Father's Day we don't do gifts. If it is your day you get to choose a fun family outing. And it must be something that you want to do. In other words, don't just pick something because that is what everyone else wants to do. Of course, don't decide on something you know they will hate.
