Hello my friends, Today is Armed Forces Day, Celebrate and if you have a friend or neighbor or even if you see someone who is one tell them thank you for their services.My 2 boys are in the Army, Jason and Andrew.Thank you Boys, your Mom is very proud of you.LOve you. A time to honor Americans serving in the five services: the Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. On August 31, 1949, Secretary of Defense Louis Johnson announced the creation of an Armed Forces Day to replace separate Army, Navy and Air Force Days. The single-day celebration, the third Saturday in May, was a result of the unification of the Armed Forces under one department, the Department of Defense. Kathy Martin

Dear Kathy, Having grown up as a US Navy Chaplain's daughter...I always abserve Armed Forces Day and do thank all those I know who have served their country in the military. My Dad was what is known as "a Fighting Padre" and went to war with Marines in WWII, the Marines in Korea, and the Navy in Viet Nam. Please thank your two sons for me for their service!
