Are Blogs An Avenue To Wealth?
5/5/2006 2:50:58 PM
I have mixed signal about blogging. I read about those who make money daily using this method. Some say that they are making $2000 per day and others nothing. I think that the song is the same if your using safelists, forums, blogs or any other method. YOU GOT TO HAVE GOOD PRODUCTS AS WELL AS GOOD AD COPY TO EQUAL SUCCESS. 90% of all ads must have good or excellent headlining. Is it possible that those who fail have bad headlines? First of all, do not spend a lot of time posting at blogs or with your own blogs unless your making money. You can set a small time daily to learn blogging, and then expand that time when you have some success. But don't invest hours like some who are making no money. 2) If you own a blog, Learn how to build a mailing list. This address is a start :http://www.bloglet.com 3. Read comments that persons make about your postings. They may not being read in the commercial parts if the material is not intelligent or helpful. 4) If you own a blog, Are you submitting to these directories and search engines? http://www.submitfire.com http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/ 5) Did you place a signature with a place to contact your web site or affiliate site 6) Write articles that can be re-publish in article directories that can be read and be used by ezine publishers to get you more traffic and visitors and you blog. This is only a few suggestions. My guess is that about 10% of those in the blogging trade really make money, but like everything else, there is a need of more professionalism and those who are willing to learn what it take to make money. Hi Ross ------------------------------------------ YOU GOT TO HAVE GOOD PRODUCTS AS WELL AS GOOD AD COPY TO EQUAL SUCCESS. ------------------------------------------- I kind of agree with the first part of this only I would change it to "products/services". You need to have good products/services to keep people coming back to buy more. Even more important, I think you have to provide superior support. But the second half I don't agree with at all. There are many successful sites out there and I'm sure Linda can point you to a few where they don't use any kind of Ad Copy (btw, I take your "ad copy" to mean "sales copy") Personally, I think that 10% might be a bit high. Perhaps 3-5% would be closer to the mark. That seems to be the generally accepted percentage of who is actually making any kind of money be it MLM, Affiliate Programs, etc.... Or at least that's my take from what I have read over the past number of years. Another thing I noticed over the past few months were articles about how blogs are not as search engine friendly as when they first came out. As with everything I guess, there's always those that abuse the system and try cheating things to get around them. So, if that is any indication of what's actually happening, perhaps the numbers are even lower again. Just my two cent blurb!....:-)
