I'm a WAHM who never stops learning something new each day! I thought it was so timely to have come across this forum because of a recent issue about a 7 year old Filipino child punished in a school in Roxboro, Canada due to his Filipino way of eating. Dah, you have got to be kidding! And what planet are these adults, monitor,teacher.... on. Seems a very efficient, clean way to eat, logically to ME. A hundred years ago on this continent, most people were lucky to have a clean bowl to eat out of with their fingers (maybe a wood utensil of some sort). I find it hard to understand this "issue", except for stupidity of the adults, who need to listen, their village is calling. Linda

This mother should demand more than a public apology. Emily Post might have commended the young man for sitting up properly and keeping his elbows off the table. I think those educators should be taught a thing or two. I have already signed the petition.

Quite simply, it really does make you wonder what planet some people are on!! I agree with this other comments here that the family should get a public apology at the very least. Poor child. Have a great day everyone. Emma
