Online MoneyMaking: The Opportunity Survey Report
You may recall that a couple of months back I canvassed readers
of this newsletter on the subject of internet business
opportunities.
I was interested to know what success, if any, individual people
were having in making money online.
My reasons were twofold: I was keen to get "inside" info on what
may be working for others, in case I wanted to add such to my own
online income portfolio. And I wanted to investigate further any
interesting opportunities and report back to you - in case it was
something you may want consider yourself.
To recap: I was interested in hearing from anyone who was making
US$500 or more each month from an internet business. And in
particular, a business that was available to anyone, anywhere in
the world - and which didn't cost a "King's Ransom" to get
started or maintain.
Well, the response was a little disappointing - in that there was
very little that met my "qualification" criteria. I guess this
could be a reflection of reality, and how difficult it is to
REALLY make more than $500 per month online.
Quite a few people told me of various "investment" opportunities
they were involved in - but I had asked for info on business
opportunities, not investments.
The search for the ideal business opportunity for the average
motivated person seemed to be as elusive as ever. I'd heard from
people running their own businesses and making a great go of it.
I'd heard from people making money from various investments - and
in some cases dubious schemes. I'd heard from a couple of people
making a success of affiliate marketing. But I had not heard much
from anyone who could show me a business which was duplicable,
and capable of being operated from any place on earth - without
breaking the bank.
In fact, only ONE reply actually met my stated bizopp search
criteria - globally available, low financial outlay, easy to
learn and duplicate etc. But when I first looked at it, I
dismissed it as too obvious, too basic.
However, this guy told me of his personal experience, how he had
been doing it for just under a year - and how he was now making
around US$1,000 a month residual income and growing. More
importantly, he was still exhibiting considerable enthusiasm -
which I know is the first casualty in any business that is NOT
working as hoped. If you've still got enthusiasm after a year,
then it can only be because what you're doing is working!
Given this personal endorsement, I pricked up my ears and asked a
few more questions - and revisited the website to see if I could
work out for myself WHY this was working, when so many other
opportunities were not.
Finally, it dawned on me. It was SIMPLE - and its simplicity was
the reason for its success. It was also offering something that
many people actually want, or just like the idea of having. And
more importantly, it appeared to be well organised with lots of
promotional tools and systems already in place. But best of all,
it was easy to understand and very affordable.
I've tried opportunities that cost me $1,000 to get involved, and
a further $200 a month to keep qualified for commissions. I've
tried others where a $100 or so each month was normal. So, it was
with some surprise when I learned how this opportunity only cost
$10 each month to maintain, with no upfront cost - and no hidden
charges.
More importantly, I could see the value in what was on offer -
that it was not overpriced in respect of other similar offerings
on the market. Even better, it was seriously pitched at the
global market - both in terms of the product on offer, the
pricing, and the marketing system which caters for many different
languages
I started to realise that all these factors, and the overall
simplicity of the system, must be the explanation behind this
particular reader's success with this business. Of course, on
the website I was able to read many more enthusiastic stories
from real people - all saying a very similar thing.
I was forced to rethink my original assumption - that it seemed
too obvious and simple, and realised that perhaps these features
were precisely WHY it was working for apparently so many people
from all over the world.
At first I thought, "How can anyone make money, when the item for
sale is such a low price?" But I was ignoring the repeat, ongoing
nature of each sale, and how such could grow to a meaningful
residual income over time. And I was ignoring the size of the
market for this, both in terms of the product and the opportunity.
The business describes itself as a 5 tier affiliate programme.
However, most affiliate programmes are 2 tier, which means this
could be more realistically described as network marketing. But I
guess there is a fine line between affiliate programmes that pay
on more than one level, and network marketing programmes paying
on many levels. Having said that, it's a very simple network
plan, not convoluted and complex like most others.
The product is simple. What's on offer is your own domain name;
a website hosting service; a web page template system for easy
creation of a personalised website (if you don't want to build
your own); and up to 10 email addresses. All of this works
seamlessly and is geared to anyone, without the need for a high
level of technical skill.
It appeals to a variety of people: those who simply want to
create a family website and give personalised email addresses to
everyone; those who want to create an internet presence for their
existing offline business; those who want to start their own
internet business; those who want to build additional revenue
streams using other domains; and those who want to promote the
business on offer itself.
The total package is $10 a month - an amount that anyone can
afford. I found this to be a perfectly reasonable price - as I
already have three domains which cost me around $15-$25 a year
each to maintain. And I already use four different hosting
services - for which I pay between $9 and $19 a month for.
I also see how this package can be successfully integrated into
other moneymaking opportunities.
So I decided to try it myself. I can easily afford $10 a month to
work this business. And given that so many people ARE making good
money with it, it appears to offer a legitimate opportunity that
can be carried on by anyone, anywhere in the world - for less
than the price of a cup of coffee each week.
Sure, I don't need this business. I have my own successful one
already. However, I am keen to test it for myself - and will NOT
snub my nose at the opportunity to build a $1,000 plus a month
residual income. Besides, many people are making considerably
more than that, so the potential has plenty of upside.
The business is called Global Domains International (GDI) - and
it's certainly not new (which is a good thing). So, if you've
been looking to get a foothold into online moneymaking, then this
could be just the thing you've been looking for. And if you've
looked at it before, and passed it by like I originally did, then
perhaps you should take a second look.

global market. The "cost of entry" appeals to many people from
all walks of life, in different countries, and speaking different
languages. The product has broad appeal also - and the business
system is a great illustration of simplicity itself.
If you've been looking for a way to make $500 or more in residual
income each month, are prepared to work on a long-term project
and stay the distance, then I suggest you take a serious look at
this and make up your own mind.
