Hello Everyone, It's time Again for The BEST New Forum at AdlandPro that Honors Members of Our Community;
Welcome to *Adland's Weekly Parade Of Stars*! Week# 9
This forum is fun, exciting, and is a much needed addition to the AdlandPro community because we are featuring many great and caring people that may otherwise go unnoticed. That is why our forum is a little different than other ones here at Adland that honor members of our community.
Our forum features a member of the AdlandPro community each week who is truly a bright and shining *STAR*. It is a person that may not necessarily be a "high-profile" person per say, but rather someone that is not only a great friend to many, but also has a good heart and truly cares about others.

Here is MICHAEL'S Bio:
My name is Michael Rogers, I am married (28 years), to a wonderful woman named Roxanne. We have 3 children named Lisa (27), Robert (20), and Krista (18). I worked as a Union Labor on construction for 16 years, mainly in refinery's such as Shell, Standard, and Clark.
Construction got really slow for a couple of years, and I have always loved working on cars, I actually wanted to race cars, but you know, marriage came first! Anyway, I
talked it over with Roxanne, and back to college I went to get my AAS in Automotive Technology! I graduated from Lewis & Clark College with Honors, got inducted into Phi Thetta Kappa (eta psi Chapter). Then went to take my ASE tests, there was not too many at the college coming back with smiles on their faces! I took mine, all 8 for automotive, and in the mail received my Master ASE! I honestly could not believe I passed them all!
I then went and opened my own automotive repair shop called "Rogers Performance".
Everything went really well, for about the first 5 or 6 years. I learned alot of patience with customers, that I did not used to have! I think dealing with the public really teaches you alot.
Then bad things started to happen with my parents health. I had always promised the wife, kids, my parents, that family comes first, I can always work in the shop anytime. Well, I was wrong! I will not go into a long drug out story here, but for the last couple of years running the auto shop, my Mother and Father were in and out of hospitals with surgerys, Dr. appointments, tests, you name it.
I had kept my word the entire time, I was present at every test, every Dr's appointment, and every surgery. Yes the family does come first, and still does. My Dad died on April 16,2004, just 3 days after his 78th birthday, and he was in the hospital for about 1 week. I was shutting the auto repair shop down, because I couldn't make any money if I wasn't there to do the repairs.
My Dad was an excellent man, and we were very close, it just devastated me. Now, my Mother lives by herself, and I go back and forth and still help her. She herself had a total hip replacement, and most recentlya AAA surgery, which could have cost her life. Thank God she is doing pretty good now, but I have decided to work from home, and here I am!
My choice to work from home is, because again, family comes first, always does, and always will. If I had it to do all over again, honestly, I wouldn't have done it any differently. And that's about the nut in the nutshell !! lol
your friend, Michael Rogers
