Hello Everyone, It's time Again for The BEST New Forum at AdlandPro that Honors Members of Our Community;
Welcome to *Adland's Weekly Parade Of Stars*! Week# 8
This forum is fun, exciting, and is a much needed addition to the AdlandPro community because we are featuring many great and caring people that may otherwise go unnoticed. That is why our forum is a little different than other ones here at Adland that honor members of our community.
Our forum features a member of the AdlandPro community each week who is truly a bright and shining *STAR*. It is a person that may not necessarily be a "high-profile" person per say, but rather someone that is not only a great friend to many, but also has a good heart and truly cares about others.

Here is Mairead's Bio:
My name is Mairead and I am 33 years old, I was born on the 6th April 1973 one half of twins, but the youngest of five since my brother came into the world one hour and 5 minutes before me. I was raised in Dublin’s inner city with my 3 brothers and my sister and today I still live in the house I grew up in with my beautiful, sweet, kind hearted Mum and my precious little boy who is five years old. My parents are very religious and religion played a big part in our lives. We had a very loving home and although we did not have much money for luxuries we had what we needed to survive. My parents were very strict with us kids and my dad had no time for anyone who slept late in bed in the morning. He used to say “Get on your knees and thank God your on your feet” and so I began working at age 14 while I was still at school on the week-ends and school holidays and since then I have had a variety of jobs in a variety of industries and although I have always been a hard worker I always despised working for someone else.
As a child I loved to sing and dance and joined the local Youth club where I formed a Disco Dance Group called Jumpstreet, we traveled around the country competing in various competitions and in 1987 we won the All Ireland Disco Dance Championships. That was the best year of my young life. My ambition was to be an entertainer but my parents had other ideas and wanted an academic career for me. I graduated school in 1990 and began a Business Secretarial Course to please them but I had absolutely no interest in working in an office. After I finished my course I began working as an administrator in a Government Office which I hated but the money was good, I stayed there for a couple of years and left in 1993 and went to live in the UK where I had a number of different jobs including IT Trainer, Tech support and some systems and network administration. I returned home to Ireland in 1997 and trained as a Fitness Instructor which was the perfect job for me as I could incorporate my dance moves into my fitness routines. I remained in the fitness industry until 2000 when I fell pregnant with my son.
In 2001 my son Aaron was born and my life changed dramatically. My relationship with Aaron’s dad was going from bad to worse so I decided to stay at home in my parents house rather than move in with him. When Aaron was 4 days old my father who had not been himself for some time was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. It was a time of both great joy and devastation and even today I avoid the memories of Aaron’s birth because of the great sadness that surrounds it. 2 months later my dad was diagnosed with Lung Cancer and had an operation to remove half his lung. My Dad had been a smoker in his younger years but had quit 24 years prior to being diagnosed with Cancer. Needless to say the cancer accelerated his Alzheimer’s and his deterioration was rapid. My mother and I cared for him at home for 3 years until we could no longer cope and he was taken into care where he still resides today. The hardest part of it all was watching my son develop and grow every day and my father deteriorate just as fast. My dad was a great man, very proud and full of love for his family and his illness has left a huge void in my life.
After a few very unhappy years I needed a change of direction and I wanted a better life. I also wanted to provide a home and a comfortable life for Aaron away from Dublin’s Inner city and I knew that just having a job would not help me realize my dreams. I began searching the internet for a home business which would allow me the freedom to work the hours that suit me and generate a decent income. I started my Network Marketing career with in 2004. Network Marketing is not an easy career path, it takes dedication, determination and persistence to succeed but I have an unshakeable faith in the industry and faith in myself that I have what it takes to succeed. Plus it allows me to meet new people and form great friendships along the way which is what I love. Although I have yet to reach the level of success I desire I am content with what I have while I pursue all that I want.
I joined Adlandpro in January of this year and I have met some wonderful people. I love to participate in forums and the only complaint I have is that I do not have enough time to post in every forum I am invited to! I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my friends here at Adland for welcoming me into the community with open arms and a very big thank you to Marilyn, my dear friend Gorgeous Georgious and all the team for this wonderful honor. You guys are Brilliant! Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Sincerely
Mairead ni Maonaigh
