Blog Links Should Be Easy
4/11/2006 12:30:13 AM
One of our Adlandpro members is co-owner of a blog hosting service. I tried it, I like it, and I can recommend it to anyone thinking about starting a blog. I am really pleased with the many features found in my Bizzyblogz hosting service. Would like to share what I have discovered about how easy it is to link to one blog entry or to several blog entries in one blog category. Not sure if most other blog hosts operate in a similar fashion. (They probably do, I'm just not familiar with their services) I will use my own blog categories as examples of how easy it is to link directly to an area within the blog. If we just use the main referral link we were given when we created our new blog account it will bring us to our most recent blog entry. Many times that is all that is needed. So the following link is my basic blog referral link. http://www.bizzyblogz.com/builder99 However if I wanted to direct my viewers to one special entry where I have a list of syndicated free articles, I would use the following link. http://www.bizzyblogz.com/builder99/1913 The "1913" at the end of my link above is not to be confused with any blog category titles which I choose myself. These numbers are automatically assigned each time I save a new blog entry. By viewing your own blog and putting your mouse over the entry title you will see the assigned number. There is no need to include the lengthy blog entry title in your link. Just the brief number as shown above works fine. At least it does for me. Now what if you wanted to direct your viewers to several entries all within the same blog category? Just use the following link format to show the entire category. http://www.bizzyblogz.com/builder99/traffic This works well when you have a single-word category such as "Traffic" (Which is why most of my blog categories have been converted into single-word format) Such as FreeArticles or InspirationCorner. When you have a 4-word category title such as "Builder99 News and Notes" then the link requires a plus sign between each word in the category as follows. http://www.bizzyblogz.com/builder99/Builder99+News+and+Notes Hope this helps make it easy for someone. Until next time, Builder99 saying "Think Blogz"
