You're welcome Myrna. Yeah, statins have been a big seller for a long time, and people just take it as told. Heartbreaking. I was once told that my cholesterol was too high and I needed to be put on statins. And I said.............. How high is it? And it was around the 200 range which is normal, and I said, no. Not that I would have taken them anyway.
And here's a funny one. This summer my allergies have been horrific and, no matter what I did, it went to asthma. So I sought help because I didn't want the allergies to turn to pneumonia again. I'm done with hospitals. So, I go back for a follow-up and I'm all well now. Well, because I had bronchial asthma, and with my age, they gave me the label of COPD. Imagine that. So, I go in and the doctor mentions COPD, and I tell her.......... I do not have COPD. And she asks me if I use oxygen.............. No, I do not use oxygen. How far, can I walk?.................. I can walk as far as I want to. Then, she listens to my lungs and says.............. Your lungs are perfect! Imagine that. I was not about to go on any COPD medications. I needed a little push to help me during allergy season and I'm fine now. Then she said that I didn't have to come back. Well, I used natural remedies and just took the medication when I felt asthma. All's well that ends well.
Love you Myrna. Luella xo
