Back splash question
5/15/2017 12:50:31 PM
I'm extremely bad at making decisions about back splashes. Fourteen years ago we did our kitchen and I couldn't decide on the back splash. I finally punted and said "I'll decide and install it later" - and of course I never did. We've gone 14 years with a painted wall as a back splash. This time around I'm determined to actually make a decision and have a real back splash. I'm interested in low maintenance, so I'm leaning away from tile, and the struggle to keep the grout clean. The counter tops will definitely be granite and I'm currently looking at Typhoon Bordeaux, though no decision has been made (I'm good at all decisions except the back splash). But I don't want the granite as the back splash, for both design and monetary reasons. It's too much, in both areas. So my question is this: Is it acceptable to use a different stone as back splash? For example, a plain white marble? I want something that both looks clean and is easy to keep clean. Any thoughts, comments, ideas?
Thanks
