BUSTED! Georgia Court Rules CNN Guilty of Pushing ‘Fake News’

BUSTED! Georgia Court Rules CNN Guilty of Pushing ‘Fake News’

Hospital CEO

The phrase “fake news” gets thrown around a lot, but not for the reasons media would like (see Tucker Carlson Almost Makes a Washington Post Reporter Cry Over ‘Fake News’ and Joe Scarborough Ground and Pounds Anti-Trump Media Over Fake News). A Hospital CEO from Georgia accused CNN of fabricating a story, and now he has a court decision to back him up…

Those who accuse CNN and other mainstream media outlets of “fake news” will probably revel in a recent decision by a federal judge in Atlanta, Georgia.

FACT CHECK: No Pinocchios.

While Judge Orinda Evans didn’t all out declare that CNN was peddling in falsehoods. She did take aim at the network in an initial judgment in favor of a former hospital CEO who sued CNN accusing them of purposely skewing statistics to reflect poorly on a West Palm Beach hospital. Davide Carbone, former CEO of St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, filed a defamation lawsuit against CNN after they aired what he claims were a “series of false and defamatory news reports” regarding the infant mortality rate at the hospital. CNN’s report said the mortality rate was three times the national average. However, Mr. Carbone contends that CNN “intentionally” manipulated statistics to bolster their report. He also claims that CNN purposely ignored information that would look favorable to the hospital in order to sensationalize the story.

This is the real problem with so-called “fake news,” and no, “fake news” are not reports that are “mean” about a somewhat thin-skinned president. Fake news is perpetuated by reporters and producers with a political agenda. It’s conducted via behind the scenes, deceptively editing (all video is edited somewhat for time) and manipulating data to get the story they want. Typically a story to fit a narrative. Take this hospital story. A false story like what CNN reported can put people out of work. Sure, no one will feel bad for the CEO, no one ever does (thanks to media painting them as evil corporate overlords), but what about the nurses who work there? What about the administrators, or the patients who rely on this hospital’s care?

CNN doesn’t give a bucket of frog dung about who might be affected by their erroneous story. They care about selling their story. While proclaiming themselves the arbiters of care. And media wonders why Americans place more trust in a man who once linked Ted Cruz’s father with the Kennedy assassination, to the media. Dwell on that.

All so some douchelord producer at CNN can get their ideological jollies and/or cheap ratings from the sorts of people who think dressing like vaginas is rebellion. Dwell on that as well. You have much to dwell on. Get snacks.

Is everything Trump calls fake news actually “fake news.” Not even close. But it shines a yuge spotlight on actual fake news and the people responsible for it.

Tucker Carlson Almost Makes a Washington Post Reporter Cry Over ‘Fake News’

TEAM CROWDERWEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 15 2017

Remember when fake news was a thing the mainstream media was claiming? You know, until we started using it against the mainstream media (see Chris Cuomo Actually Compares Being Called “Fake News” to the N-Word and Joe Scarborough Ground and Pounds Anti-Trump Media Over Fake News). Tucker Carlson remembers. He brings it to the forefront by shining a spotlight on the clear lack of credibility the media has was the topic during this interview with Erik Wemple of The Washington Post.

This may me tough for some of you to watch…

“Erik, look, I get it, you can’t answer the question, so you’re saying that I somehow have an obligation to be a media reporter. But I’m not a media reporter and you are. And you get a lot of mileage out of, ‘I’m Mr. Media Reporter and I’m brave and they give me all this rope and I can do whatever I want.’ But you don’t. My question is, and please answer it, does the owner of your paper, Jeff Bezos, who runs Amazon, does he ever call you and say, ‘Good job?”

“I don’t see you as a media critic, I see you as a political hack acting out his political beliefs on paper with the cover of media criticism — ‘I’m just a media critics — and everyone who reads you knows that and I am wondering if your editors know that?”

This goes to people not necessarily liking Trump as much as they hate the media more. Yes, yes, I know we’ve repeated that point ad nauseum. I’d apologize but I’m not actually sorry. The mainstream media started the Trump administration with no credibility…after eight years of picking up the money President Obama left on the nightstand. You would think they would have seen this and the challenge of covering Trump as an opportunity to improve. Nope. They doubled down, they’re covering this administration through the lens of their slavish liberal bias.

Perhaps they see coverage of the Trump Administration as an opportunity to suck at life even more. I guess breaking your own records is something…?
