While speaking at a press conference in Germany, Obama had the perfect opportunity to condemn those who are protesting and rioting in response to the results of the presidential election. Instead, he fueled the fire and encouraged these people to continue causing mayhem and not remain “silent.”
“I suspect that there’s not a president in our history that hasn’t been subject to these protests,” Obama said at a joint news conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Thursday. “So, I would not advise people who feel strongly or who are concerned about some of the issues that have been raised during the course of the campaign, I wouldn’t advise them to be silent.”
He then added: “Voting matters, organizing matters and being informed on the issues matter.”
Trump’s campaign manager Kellyanne Conway has repeatedly has called for Obama to speak out to calm the nation, but he has yet to do so.
“I am calling for responsibility and decency. I hope President Obama says, ‘Cut it out,'” she told “Fox News Sunday.” http://dennismichaellynch.com/obama-empowering-anti-trump-protesters-remarks/
