She's 'sick and tired' of you.

I suspect that, somewhere in the cancerous bowels of Clinton campaign HQ, there are some ugly internal polling numbers. The candidate, and her surrogates, are starting to sound scared - the kind of "scared" you hear from people who thought something was in the bag, only to have the rug pulled out from under them at the last minute.

You can see it everywhere you look. Hillary's cronies are melting down during interviews, Obama has abandoned his 'hands off' stance in regards to James Comey and seems upset by black voter turnout, and Hillary Clinton, the candidate herself, has gone into feverish fits of accusatory shrieking.

OK, fine, she shrieks a lot. But this is something new....

“I get sometimes a little overwhelmed by the fact that I love this country. I think we already are great. I think we could be greater, and, you know, I am sick and tired of the negative, dark, divisive, dangerous vision and behavior of people who support Donald Trump. It is time for us to say, ‘No, we are not going backwards. We are going forward into a brighter future.’ So how do we do that? For the next seven days, we focus on what is important, do not get distracted or diverted – focus on the kind of country and world that we want to help create.”

This is not the calm, steady, voice of a person who has confidence in her position. It isn't what a winning candidate sounds like. It reminds me of a crazed version of George Bush's "bozo" moment. It's the manic cry of someone who's grasping at straws because she thinks her future may be slipping away.

And by the way... I'd rather puncture my eardrums than listen to that for the next 4-8 years.
