You’ve Made Many Resolutions Now, Make the Decision to Lose Weight...
Fat? Flabby? Frustrated? If your “WHY” is big enough, you will do whatever it takes to achieve your goals and dreams.
5 years ago I was fat, flabby and out of shape. I couldn’t hike with my sons to some of the most beautiful places in Telluride, Colorado, where we have a home.
I couldn’t ski down the slopes my sons were tearing down, and I couldn’t keep up with their desire to explore, see and do what young teens want to do.
I was frustrated and embarrassed, and I used excuses and stories about how I was getting old, my muscles ached and I didn’t have the same energy they did, since they were young.
In essence, due to my lack of focus on my health and my “inner story,” I was losing out on some of the best years and times with my kids.
Mastering the Mindset to Power Past Your Weight Loss Plateau...
So, you've made some great changes in your lifestyle--healthier eating habits, hitting the gym or the road for runs and bike rides. You've lost a decent amount of weight, and you're just 10 or 20 pounds away from your target. Now, all of a sudden, you've stopped losing weight, and nothing you do seems to work.
First of all, congratulations on your weight loss so far!
What you are experiencing is perfectly normal. Many successful weight loss go-getters find their weight will remain static for several weeks.
Never fear: you’ll be happy to hear that most people find the pounds will suddenly start to shift again when they switch up their routine a little (add strengthening with weights, attend some classes of a different genre than is normal for them) and maintain the all-important mental discipline that is so essential for continued weight-loss success.
