World Kirtan, Chants to Live By! Chant as a Spiritual Technology and Practice...

Kirtan has been taking off the last several years in the US and internationally. Krishna Das, Deva Premal, Jai Uttal, Snatam Kaur, Wah! and many more have become kirtan rock stars.

In Boulder, CO alone there are 4 local kirtan groups. Ours is a little different in that we don't sing primarily Hindu chants but chants from around the world (both old and new).

Three of the chants have never been heard before outside our community.

What is different about this album is that it has chants from many world traditions (old and new), and the chants are mainly sung in unison, rather than call and response. Add iAwake's innovative sound technology and it's a compelling combination.

We asked Javi Otero, our CTO, to infuse his tech into the Heart Sutra Chant to see how it might work, and we were immediately blown away by the power of it, so asked him to integrate this tech into all the chants.
