Following the second presidential debate, WikiLeaks has popped out another treasure-trove of unflattering Clinton-related emails.
A November 2011 conversation between Doug Band (top aid to Bill Clinton), Clinton adviser John Podesta, and Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills reveals a strained relationship with Chelsea Clinton.
The Daily Mail notes that this was during the time that Chelsea became more involved in the Clinton Foundation.
“She is acting like a spoiled brat kid who has nothing else to do but create issues to justify what she’s doing because she, as she has said, hasn’t found her way and has a lack of focus in life,” Band wrote about Chelsea.
The conversation was about negative publicity about to hit the press regarding Band’s new international advisory firm Teneo and its connections to the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative. The story was also reportedly making connections between Teneo and MF Global, a global commodities company that had gone bankrupt that year.
Band wrote, asking for Podesta’s feedback and suggestions:
“Need get this asap to them although I’m sure cvc (Chelsea Clinton) won’t believe it to be true because she doesn’t want to. Even though the facts speak for themselves. John, I would appreciate your feedback and any suggestions.

WikiLeaks: Bill and Chelsea Clinton Drove Foundation Exec to Near Suicide
Clinton Foundation Chief Operating Officer Laura Graham was driven to near suicide over work-related stress caused by Bill Clinton and Chelsea Clinton, according to a hacked email just released by WikiLeaks.
In an email conversation on December 7-8, 2011, between Bill Clinton’s top aid, Doug Band, Clinton advisor John Podesta, Hillary Clinton’s chief of staff Cheryl Mills, and Justin Cooper, Band told them he had been able to talk Laura Graham out of committing suicide – and indicated it had happened “a few times” over the past few months.
The exchange had started on Dec. 7 in a letter from Cheryl Mills, with a proposal to split out Clinton Foundation entities and non-Foundation entities, and how to separate the payroll.
On December 8, Band responded with this news:
“Late last night, laura graham called me as she couldn’t reach my brother or her shrink. She was on Staten Island in her car parked a few feet from the waters edge with her foot on the gas pedal and the car in park.
She called me to tell me the stress of all of this office crap with wjc (Bill Clinton) and cvc (Chelsea Clinton) as well as that of her family had driven her to the edge and she couldn’t take it anymore.
I spent a while on the phone with her preventing her from doing that, as I have a few times in the past few months, and was able to reach roger and her shrink.
Bruce said the stress of specifically the office had caused his very serious health issues as you both know.
But I’m sure chelsea is more concerned with a mostly false story in the distinguished ny post about mf global and teneo not her role in what happened to laura/bruce, what she is doing to the organization or the several of stories that have appeared in the ny post about her father and a multitude of women over the years.
For teneo, well before mf global, we have been discussing this. Its going to hurt teneo to have wjc on the adv bd any longer but we need come up with a reorg concept for the relationship with wjc and teneo that is lower key and handled privately and properly that we should discuss. Life is [too] short so let’s have a call and get this over with.”
