You're Not Worth It!

A friend of a friend found himself in a bind recently.

"Chet" owns a business selling ad space in a thriving online media network that he built with his own two hands.

The trouble started a few weeks back when one of Chet's biggest customers decided to sit on his invoice.

Normally this would be fine, if not for the fact that a certain government agency with a name like "Iris" had just dropped by and picked Chet's savings clean...

So even though his business kicks out multiple six figures in revenue each year, Chet wakes up one day a couple of weeks ago and realizes he doesn't have enough cash in the bank to finish out the month.

Suddenly he's having to make the kinds of decisions every business owner dreads:

"Do I keep the servers running, or pay my assistant?"

"Do I take a paycheck this month, or do we tighten our belt and let Uncle Visa cover the groceries for a few weeks?"

Chet is a genuinely nice, decent guy, and he's doing just about everything he can think of to keep all the plates spinning here.

He's mugging Peter to pay Paul—and holding back the conga line of impatient vendors forming in the wings...

He got a couple of his employees to take their paychecks in the form of IOUs for a few weeks.

He even donned his "info marketing" hat on and started planning a quick product launch to drum up some extra cash.

In fact, he did just about everything imaginable, EXCEPT...

Except address the root of the problem—the deadbeat customer who's holding Chet's money hostage.

This is a pattern I see over and over in entrepreneurs of all levels:

A deep-seated reluctance to ASK FOR THE CHECK.

Chet grew up the son of a small-town dentist in a deeply religious family.

And the script that runs through his head over and over is, "An honest day's pay for an honest day's work."

Chet still hasn't figured out how that squares with all the money he's earning from selling 1s and 0s.

Even though Chet runs an ethical business and provides real value to his customers, a tiny voice inside him still shrills, "You're not worth it!"

There's good news and bad news for Chet.

The good news is:

He IS worth it.

The bad news is:

Unless he "grows a pair" and finally puts a bullet in the head of that lying, sniveling voice...

He's going to find himself right back in this position six months from now.

How do you break this cycle?

It starts by surrounding yourself with others who have done it, and listening to their stories, until their confidence seeps into your pores and puts steel in your spine.

And in Mastermind Club you'll meet these rising stars.

You'll hear from fellow entrepreneurs who went from quaking in their boots at the thought of losing a customer...

Does Chet's story sound at all familiar?
