It might also be a good idea to mention that Stormpay may have frozen accounts on the recommendation of the FBI, in order to refund equitably. There's a lot of info out there.......and we need to know all of it in order to understand why Stormpay is behaving the way it is. The account holders have no control right now so its a matter of wait and see.

Update on communications With StormPay
Joint statement by 12DailyPro and StormPay
By The Leaf-Chronicle
Attorneys for LifeClicks, LLC (the owner of 12DailyPro.com) and StormPay, Inc. have been communicating to attempt to resolve business disputes between LifeClicks and StormPay. Those discussions have been productive and useful, and are continuing.
StormPay’s representatives have assured LifeClicks that StormPay is a viable company and is still open for business, and StormPay has provided assurances that it is able to cover, dollar for dollar with money in the bank, any deposits that may be held in any StormPay account.
Any previous statements regarding LifeClicks’ concern or doubts about StormPay’s ability to make any necessary payments are hereby withdrawn, based on these assurances from StormPay.
StormPay and LifeClicks have been made aware of the existence of investigations into the 12DailyPro program by investigators at the FBI and the states of North Carolina and Georgia. Both StormPay and LifeClicks intend to cooperate fully in any investigation that may be ongoing. For more on the story, see tomorrow's edition of the Leaf-Chronicle.

Another one:
StormPay has history with BBB, Tennessee
By JIMMY SETTLE
The Leaf-Chronicle
While the owners of StormPay.com are negotiating a settlement, recent complaints against the Internet-based company on Golf Club Lane are not the first to surface.
StormPay has a history of unsatisfactory customer service recorded with the Tenn-Tucky branch of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance.
The BBB said Tuesday in a prepared statement that StormPay, "which offers hosted home pages, e-mail addresses, online auction listings and operates as a payment processor for online transactions" has an "unsatisfactory record with BBB due to a pattern of complaints received."
"In the past 36 months," according to the BBB report, "the company has received complaints specifically concerning the company's failure to inform and follow up with its customers when it suspends accounts, failure to release funds in a timely manner and failure to resolve complaints directly with company management."
The BBB says StormPay has responded to each complaint presented by the local bureau office but has not ended the pattern of activities that prompted complaints.
Last year, for example, StormPay was the source of 49 consumer complaints to the local BBB.
StormPay owner Steve Girsky released a statement Tuesday night indicating one of it's clients, 12DailyPro.com, had posted incorrect information about StormPay.
12DailyPro's "very substantial membership base ... has filed complaints in mass with the BBB and with anybody else who would listen to them for that matter," the statement reads. "These complaints stem from the direct misrepresentations of this merchant, which have now been retracted."
Cease and desist
Separately, The Leaf-Chronicle obtained a copy of an August 2003 cease and desist order from the state Department of Commerce and Insurance against StormPay, its president, John McConnell, and another Clarksville company then called "TymGlobal," which operated similar to StormPay.
Attempts Tuesday to reach a spokesperson from Commerce and Insurance about this case were unsuccessful, but StormPay owner Steve Girsky and the BBB confirmed the order. The three defendants collectively were cited for failing to properly register as broker-dealers with the Tennessee Securities Division.
Girsky emphasized Tuesday the matter was resolved.
"StormPay's name was in there, but the case really didn't involve StormPay," Girsky said. "It involved another company.
"People like to latch on to something like that, that is totally unrelated to what we've been doing here for the past four years," he said.
The BBB, in its Tuesday report, noted the cease and desist order stated that TymGlobal and StormPay "are under common ownership and/or control. TymGlobal operates an Internet Web site, which is registered to StormPay."
The report continues: "On the Internet Web site, respondents are operating a pyramid and/or Ponzi scheme promising large returns on investments for participating in the scheme. The order further states that TymGlobal has not registered any securities offerings with the Securities Division pursuant to Tennessee Securities Act of 1980.
"Nor has the company registered with the division as a broker-dealer, agent of a broker-dealer or investment adviser. Also ... StormPay has not registered any securities offerings with the division, nor has the company registered with the division as a broker-dealer, agent of a broker-dealer or investment adviser. John R. McConnell Jr. has not registered with the division as a broker-dealer, an agent of a broker-dealer or as an investment adviser."
The Securities Division ordered the respondents TymGlobal, StormPay and McConnell to "cease and desist the conduct of a broker-dealer in the state ... until such time as it effectively registers with the division."
