Seasons Greetings.

We’ve made it through the holy days and the new year is upon us. The holidays offer us a time of reflection, connection with family and loved ones and a time to consider our past, present and future. I actually look forward to the time cycle and the new year as a time to reflect, empty myself and get my new year’s marching orders, as it were.

This is my first Christmas and New Years without my father and it seems to mark a shift in me from grieving to gratitude. And this has been facilitated by my daily practice and sitting in the middle of my pain and tears. Boy, I really love that man. And thank God I had him in my life for so many years. And of course he’s still in my life, just in another way.
