One of the reasons I co-founded iAwake was because I saw what brain entrainment technology did for my husband, John Dupuy.

John is multi-talented, intelligent, has creativity galore…but he had cyclical bouts of depression that would lay him low for months at a time.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist and have worked a great deal with depression issues, and I knew that John’s downs would get triggered by relational and emotional experiences that he hadn’t processed fully.

Within a few months of using brainwave entrainment technology, John began releasing a lot of past material. He’d put on his headphones for at least an hour each day…and quite often intense feelings would arise, he would stay with the storm, and eventually they would release and he’d descend into stillness, peace and gratitude.

What continues to surprise me is that since he began using brainwave entrainment more than 10 years ago, John has not had a single bout of depression. He gets down sometimes, like any of us, but he has a resilience now that he did not have before.

So when our friend and colleague Joseph Kao proposed to develop a program specifically about releasing emotions, I knew I wanted to do it.

I believe that as we learn to release what gets stuck in us, we free up so much capacity to create and contribute.
