“Life has No Beginning and No End”
Dianne Martin, RScP
Ernest Holmes says, “What we call death is only an expansion of the soul, an enlargement of experience, a gateway into higher expression of life and truth.”
Over an 18 month period, I lost both my older sister, Becky, and my older brother, Harlan. It is so easy to be joyful and to rejoice in spirit when everything is going well! Then life does what life does and suddenly I feel sadness and guilt and judgement of myself. So, I say this prayer for myself and hope that it will help each one of you too.
There is one life. That life has no beginning and no end. That life is perfect. Spirit is in through and around every living thing. It is the essence of the least complex form of life to the most complex form of life. I see it in the flowers that bloom, I hear it in the birds chirping each day, and I feel it in the hugs of my family and friends. I know that life is a continuum for everything that we perceive and for everything we do not. I am one with that Divine expression and I know the same is true for Harlan and Becky.
That life is my life now right where I am. That life is Becky’s life and that life is Harlan’s life right where they are. That life is the life of everyone who reads this prayer. That life comforts me and gently guides me back to happiness and joy.
I speak my word and know that there is no separation; I am one with Spirit, with Harlan, and with Becky. My life is full of love, peace and joy. Everything is perfect today just as it was perfect yesterday and the day before that and the day before that. I rejoice in the new beginning for Harlan and Becky. Harlan and Becky live on, resting in the arms of God. They are with all the other eternal lives thatpassed into that next phase of life. They are my guardian angels loving me and guiding me. It is okaythat I miss their physical presence and know that it is not only okay to mourn their loss but know that it is part of my journey of healing. Any thought of guilt about what I did or didn’t do melts away. I release all judgement of myself knowing I did the best I knew how to love Becky and Harlan while they were on earth. I know my life is enriched beyond measure by Harlan and Becky being part of it now and forever.
I am grateful for the knowledge that life is everlasting. I’m grateful that I have Harlan and Becky as siblings and know my life is enriched beyond measure by their being in my life in the physical form and in the spiritual form. I experience the love, comfort, and peace that is Spirit and for that I am thankful.
Knowing that all things live in the eternal presence of God, I release my word and know that acceptance, love, peace and joy are mine.
