Tips for Network Marketing Success
1/29/2006 9:48:30 PM
MLM, Network marketing is the ordinary person’s best opportunity to make extraordinary income. Well known author, Robert Kiyosaki, says that most ethical network marketing businesses are like business schools. They teach people the power of building their own home business, and provide the tools to support that. You must choose the right business for you. Then, work to attain success. If you do not fully believe in the organisation you are with the find the best business opportunity for you. Goals Write down 10 Goals you want to achieve in the next 12 months. Have time lines and plans for reaching these goals. Make them attainable, but not too simple. As you reach these goals you can celebrate success and then add more goals. Stay Focused Follow your written plan. Draw a line down the side of your diary page. Mark non-negotiable times. For example when you will do Personal Development, follow up calls, advertising and for how long. Stick to your time limits. Also write down the things that you must achieve for the day. This gives you a visual reminder of your Daily Method of Operation (DMO). This is a simple way to keep a daily check on your time management skills. Prioritize Your Time Decide on the areas of your activity that give you the most return. Continually ask yourself “is this activity directly and positively related to retailing or recruiting? Don’t lose your self in the unimportant activities. Remember the 80/20 rule. This states that 80% of your business will come from 20% of your work, 20% of your customers will provide 80% of your sales. So it is imperative that you concentrate on the 20% and do not getting lost in the 80% that is not important. Self Development Commit yourself to at least 1 hour of personal development a day to grow, learn and improve. This can be fun and easily achieved. Always have a positive cd/tape playing in your car. When you do gardening, housework or exercise, also be listening to personal development tapes/cd’s. Don’t make it a chore. Make it a fun and integral part of your day. We all have a continual responsibility to grow, learn and improve ourselves. As you grow so will your business. Down line Give the most time to the people who deserve it, not those that want it. Listen to them and support them in the way they want, not in the way you think they need. Ask your team what they want and offer suggestions on how they can reach their goals. Empower them to believe in themselves and find their own solutions. It things are not going right don’t blame your down line. Look in the mirror and find where you could have done it better or differently. If you take this approach you will have a strong team with a high retention rate. Accept full responsibility for your business. You are responsible for you. Don’t blame your upline, your downline or your sideline. Be affirming in your discussions with everyone. Don’t become a victim of yourself. Always think and talk in a positive way. Read your written goals and follow your plan. This will guarantee your success.

My own forum and I didn't even notice that you had added this post! Thanks Cheryl. Things have been a little hectic for me, but I'm glad to see someone else adding words of wisdom for all to benefit from. Those are all very good suggestions for all business owners!
