“God, that Something, Hears All Your Prayers”

“We are thinking, willing, knowing, conscious centers of Life. We are surrounded by, immersed in and there is flowing through us, a creative Something…call It what you will. The sum total of all our thought, will, purpose and belief creates a tendency in this Law that causes It to react to us according to the sum total of that belief.” – Ernest Holmes

That Something, call It what you will, I call It God, is the Only Life. It is the One Power, the Impetus that animates everything and everyone. It is the One Goodness that blesses everything, surrounds everything. And the Truth of that One Life Force is Love. It is Supportive and reacts Lovingly in accordance to all the prayers. It says Yes to all the Beliefs. It is Benevolence Supreme, Joy Unbridled. Kindness to the nth degree. It hears us always. It is the Answerer of prayers.

It is the Power flowing through us. The Purpose of being. It is my life. It is yours. And whether we recognize this or not, whether we work with it consciously or unconsciously, It surrounds us always. It blesses us constantly. It is no discriminator of man, for It loves all Its children equally, for in truth there is but one of us here. We are all united. We are the human expressions of that One Life of God, dancing in this energy field we call our lives.

We get to choose to do life however we want. We get to express in whatever way suits us. God is never confused by our tirades, never gives up on us when we choose unwisely. He just supports us in our expression. He just loves us in our folly. We may always amuse Him, but we can never lose Him. For that One Great Lover of mankind, loves us purely, unconditionally, unabashedly. Always, always, always. Feel how supported you are? Feel how loved?

Blessed child of God, you are it, as He is; made in His likeness and image. Every bit as awesome. Every bit as amazing. Every bit is luminous. He never forgot the truth of who and what you are. He calls you home to that remembrance. Can you hear His voice? Can you hear the song wrapped around your name like a lullaby? It is yours forever. It patiently awaits – go claim it. It is yours. Your light wants to shine. Shine it. Even if it scares you. Even if it seems like others may judge you for it. Go for it. Be the person God intended you to be.

And then give thanks, as I give thanks. I am sweetly enveloped in that gratitude that spills forth from the feeling my heart hears when I remember who I am. Allow it to envelop you, too! Give thanks that you can never be forsaken, for God would never abandon his one. Us. We are His. And I am so grateful to know this. So grateful to feel it in my cells, pulse it in my heart, sing it in my very being. I am grateful that being a part of the One Life, I am forever His and forever home.

Then let go. Trust. Surrender it to God, for He knows your heart’s desire and it is His good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Your prayer was answered the moment you uttered it, so there is no need to hold onto it and get in God’s way. It won’t show up the way you think it should. That’s part of the mystery, part of the joy of surprise. So send it off and tell it to have fun. Then keep your eyes open. That blessing is on its way. Know it. Feel it. Celebrate its birth. And So It Is! Amen.
