Humans to be guinea pigs for experimental Ebola vaccines

by Ethan Huff

(Health Secrets) Ebola vaccines are being sped to market with the endorsement of the United Nations, and large supplies should be ready for use on West Africans in 2015, according to reports from Agence France-Presse. However, this vaccine is untested and experimental, bypassing the normal testing and approval process that usually vets a new vaccine. Sound like the “swine flu” all over again? Read More.

10_1_136.gifHi Luella,

When I first moved to Indianapolis there was very little work available, therefore I quickly wound up homeless. It was not long before I signed up for one of these studies. They have secret locations for these clinics and you learn about them by word of mouth. If you pass the physical you have to sign a waiver stating that the clinic conducting the study will not be held responsible should you die. They recruit homeless and low income knowing that they are desperate for the extra cash. I did about eight studies, however on one of the studies we would be there for six days having two study days, one on the third day and another on the fifth day. When we woke up on the third day we were told that we would be processing out. The study had been cancelled. I jokingly asked if the Rat died, and one of the nurses responded, "All eighteen died." She added that they discovered them that morning, and if someone had not checked in on them early, we would have all gotten our first shot shortly after they woke us up. The reason for that was that they routinely check the lab animals every so many hours, and during the night they were doing okay. The morning shift usually did not turn the monitors on until they finished their paperwork, and the time that they would turn them on would have been 30 minutes after our first injection was to take place. There was a new girl starting that morning and she was going through what she had been taught and turned the monitors on out of sequence. She saw what she thought were a couple of rats on there backs with their legs up and zoomed in. She panned the camera to the other cages and counted 18 dead rats, the amount that had been given injections. She called the clinic and told them to stop the study until she got back to them. We were paid $550.00 cash and released. During these studies there was always at least one person that had a list of other studies being conducted at other clinics. The list contained the name of the clinic, the location (usually in another state), contact phone number, duration and price being paid. There was also a notation if they were looking for ethnic groups such as West Africans. You would copy this information down and once out of the current study program you would call to find out if the study was still available. The ones that I did was always at the same clinic on the sixth floor of the hospital. I quickly learned not to take the elevator down with more then two other people. When the elevator made it to the first floor, there was often at least one person laying on the floor beaten. I had a small duffel bag in which I kept my changes of clothes. I also had a different colored duffel bag folded up inside. If I arrived with a hat, I always had a different style hat as well. We left the clinic in small groups. When my group would get to the elevator I would tell them to go on ahead, because I had to use the bathroom. I would go into a stall, change my clothes, make sure no one was waiting at the elevator, and go down the stairs. I would not exit at the main floor, but the basement floor and walk up one flight. This set of stairs was at the opposite end of the elevators. As I exited the elevator there was usually at least one person that was on the study with me waiting at the other set of stairs. The people that do these studies are desperate for money, and they don't mind taken yours as well. I believe that I did about eight studies and finally got one that paid $940.00 cash. I went straight to the bank and opened an account, rented a cheap apartments, and started picking up jobs.
GOD BLESS YOU
~Mike~
