After our remarkable results in a previous University of Illinois study, Paul Arciero, Ph.D., of Skidmore College was interested in designing his own study, extending the subject group to include men. His 10-week study included men and women, who were considered obese or morbidly obese, who followed the Isagenix system. Dr. Arciero was on hand at the annual Isagenix Celebration event to share the early results with more than 10,000 Associates, saying, “I’ve been doing this for 30 years. Along the way, I’ve produced some impressive study results with the lifestyle interventions I’ve put people through. But Isagenix is at the top of the list.” Dr. Arciero’s study at Skidmore College measured weight loss, fat loss, lean body mass, visceral fat loss, metabolism and other cardiovascular risk factors. Additionally, the study was among the first to measure an increase in circulating toxins as a result of weight loss, as well as evaluate an intervention unique in its support of the metabolic excretion of stored toxins. The results were so impressive, that the study has been extended to one full year to examine the long-term results of using the Isagenix system! What’s so great about these results is that it gives credence to what we do. More science, more evidence and more validation that our Isagenix systems improve health and show long-term benefits,” says Dr. Cho. Notable Results from UIC Study Dr. Krista Varady Dr. Varady To date, our most notable results had been documented in a study done by Dr. Krista Varady at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Cho summarized results, saying, “We studied the Isagenix system compared to a leading ‘heart-healthy’ diet on one of the most challenging subjects: post-menopausal women. This group is at high risk for heart disease and has a hard time losing weight. Our results were phenomenal. We saw greater weight loss, body fat loss, visceral fat loss and better improvements to metabolic and cardiovascular risk factors.” The UIC study was published in two well-respected, quality peer-reviewed journals and the abstract was an award-winner at the American Society for Nutrition’s annual meeting at the Experimental Biology Conference. University Study Support for Product B To understand how Product B® makes an impact on healthy aging, Isagenix partnered with Arizona State University to measure catalase, a marker of healthy aging, and determine how this important indicator is affected by Product B, and ultimately, Product B IsaGenesis®. The early results of the randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial were shared by Dr. Cho during Celebration. You can learn more about the trial design and results at IsagenixHealth.net
