“Spirit is Everywhere Present”
Rev Jennie Goff, Minister
My husband, Bob, and I headed north to our cabin a couple of weeks ago and when we arrived it was downright chilly in the cabin. I immediately started cleaning out the ashes from the prior fire in the wood burning stove. I noticed a funny sound but disregarded it until I caught a slight movement in the ashes. A bird had somehow flown down the flue and was stuck in the stove. I gently reached in and pulled out a very frightened bird covered in ashes. I blew off the ashes and released a joy filled Mountain bluebird to the outdoors. I am so grateful we arrived when we did. I love synchronicity, it feels like God is winking at me and saying, “Look at what I can do! If I can make this happen, I can do anything.”
When I spend time in Nature it’s easy to remember Spirit is everywhere present. The trees beginning to leaf out, the early spring blossoms, the birds chirping and geese honking as they fly north are all signs of abundant life. But what about the massive amount of mud we 4-wheeled through to get to our cabin? What about the recent cancer experience that made it possible for me to be at the cabin in the middle of the week instead of at my business? Is God present in the nail that caused the flat tire? Absolutely!
God is everywhere present, inseparable from every aspect of life. It is the life force that breathes through me, speaks my every word and sees life through my eyes. My life is God in action. I am one with its creative intelligence and its wholeness. My every action is divinely inspired and as I listen within I am guided through my life. I am an integral part of the whole and contribute joyously to life. Trusting that God can do anything I release any limiting thoughts and beliefs. I remain focused on what I want to experience and await the natural outcome of my focus. What is true for me is the same truth for everybody. Yes, it is true for you, too.
A warm feeling of gratitude floods my awareness. I am grateful for the moisture that nourishes the earth. I am grateful for my life. I am grateful for knowing my connection with Spirit. In gratitude, I release my words and know all is well. So it is.
