The Goodness of God Caresses Me

Nancy Bowers, RScP

Nancy Bowers, RScP

Prayer of Remembrance

God rocks. It is the Eternal Yes – the Life-force, the power behind and within everything. It is the Breath of Life. The Boldness of Being. It is the Alpha and the Omega. It is Fearless, yet Easy, knowing no order of difficulty. It is the Maker of Miracles. The Power that easily and effortless creates.

And this Power, this Goodness is my life-force. I live and move and have my being in It, for I cannot be separate from It. Just as a wave cannot be apart from the ocean, I cannot be apart from God, for I am part of this Life, part of this Breath of God. I speak my word and God says “Yes.” I set an intention and God is within that intention. And recognizing this, I remember that the nature of God is, Love, Peace, Joy, Prosperity, and all Goodness and these gifts of God are mine. They wait from me, waiting for me to recognize them and embrace them as I am embraced by God. The gifts of Heaven are here. God lavishes them on me, with a Love so deep, so generous, that I can barely drink it all in. But I do. I open now to that Goodness. I open now to that Love. I claim all this Goodness as my own. I drink it in. I allow it to caress me.

And so now, in this moment, I remember who I really am. I am a child of God. I am the anointed one, just as all my brothers and sisters are the children of God; the anointed ones, the blessed. I remember this not only for myself but for everyone, all of God’s children, for we are all part of this Sacred Breath, this dance of Life. And so I always choose love. I always choose peace. I remember who I am and I remember who everyone is. I see God everywhere I go. You are the Face of God and I gaze upon that face with love. I am the face of God and when I gaze in the mirror, I remember who I am – a teacher of God.

And I give thanks for this remembrance. I give thanks to be in a Spiritual Community that reminds me of who I am and what I can to do. I give thanks that I am never alone. I know that God is with me always. I know God is my breath, and for that remembrance, I am so very grateful.

I release this prayer of remembrance into the Law, knowing it was always so and ever will be. And So It Is! Amen!
