If Christians Don’t Speak Out for Themselves, We will have nobody to blame But ourselves
Incredible as it may seem, our government’s hostility to religion seems to be growing by the day.
In recent weeks we have seen military training programs that listed evangelical Christians and Catholics as “extremists”, putting us in a list with the KKK, Hamas and Al Qaeda.
Now we find out about new rules in our nation’s military that might prevent the sharing of personal religious beliefs with others.
Not long ago the military hired an outside consultant to develop new policies on “religious tolerance”.
He was quoted in the Huffington Post saying:
“Today, we face incredibly well-funded gangs of fundamentalist Christian monsters who terrorize their fellow Americans by forcing their weaponized and twisted version of Christianity upon their helpless subordinates in our nation’s armed forces.”
Yes, this person is actually advising the Obama administration on issues that impact religious liberty.
He claims that Christians who share their faith (including chaplains) are guilty of “treason” and committing acts of “spiritual rape” – even claiming that they are “enemies of the Constitution”.
He wants to help the Pentagon develop court-martial procedures to punish Christians in the military who express or share their faith.

The Pentagon confirmed that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith, stating to Fox News: “Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense…Court-martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis…”.
All across America we are experiencing a chill on the ability of Americans to live their faith and values.
Whether in the form of forcing Christian businesses to pay for abortion coverage under Obamacare, allowing Christian photographers to be sued for refusing to photograph same-sex weddings, or suggesting that evangelicals are extremists, the Obama administration has consistently made itself an enemy of the religious liberties that Americans have previously enjoyed and taken for granted.
