There are a lot of so-called passive income programs cropping up all over the internet now days and it is easy to see that the majority of them are high-yield-investment-programs (HYIP) simply because there are no real tangible products that people buy who are not involved in the opportunity. The owners/admins know that it's only temporary and they probably won't make it past the first 3 months. The lucky HYIP's may last a year, and some even longer if they can get away with it and not get sanctioned by the SEC (security exchange commission). However, it's just a matter of time before they get shut down.
Still, a lot of desperate people join them. Even worse, they are referring and bringing in other people to invest in the scheme. This alone tells you they are not passive and must bring in new money to keep the scheme going. HYIP's are nothing more than ponzis, period. A lot of people lose a whole lot of money because of these. But the owners/Admins of these scam investment programs take home 5-6 and sometimes 7 figures in less than a year, and then disappear into the woodwork only to come back later with another "exciting new launch", and do it all over again. My best advice is to stay away from them. Their only objective is to get your money in their pocket!
So, what is a true passive income program?
