With the commercialism of Christmas, many people especially kids might be saying "Where's the Line to see Santa?" this time of year.
However, I love this song, "Where's the Line to see Jesus?" The true meaning of CHRIST-mas! God Bless You all as you endure much!!!

Hi Stephen,

I guess I am the 1st one to come into your forum. I have always loved Elvis Presley's
I love this song, it always gives me goose bumps. It was never very popular, I just could not understand why, I just think it is beautiful.

Elvis Presley - If Every Day Was Like Christmas (1966), the last holiday single Elvis ever released, was written by a childhood friend, Red West. The Imperials Quartet and the Jordanaires are providing the backing vocals. Elvis recorded it on June 10, 1966 at RCAs Nashville studios. The single release in November 15, 1966 (If Every Day Was Like Christmas - How Would You Like To Be), it has been credited for selling over 1,000,000 copies. Red West wrote "If Every Day Was Like Christmas" in 1965 and recorded his own version on the Brent label, which was his own label, named after his son. Although the writing credits on the label show Red West's own name, the artist is shown as Bobby West. 2,000 copies were pressed and sold locally in the Memphis area around Christmas 1965.

LYRICS:

I hear the bells
Saying Christmas is near
They ring out to tell the world
That this is the season of cheer

I hear a choir
Singing sweetly somewhere
And a glow fills my heart
I'm in peace with the world
As the sound of their singing fills the air

Oh why can't every day be like Christmas
Why can't that feeling go on endlessly
For if everyday could be just like Christmas
What a wonderful world this would be

I hear a child
Telling Santa what to bring
And the smile upon his tiny face
Is worth more to me than anything

Oh why can't every day be like Christmas
Why can't that feeling go on endlessly
For if everyday could be just like Christmas
What a wonderful world this would be

(words & music by Red West)

Hi Stephen, I've been out of pocket for a good part of the day and am just now getting around to this forum. To me Christmas really is a most wonderful time of the year and here is one of my favorites, and I have many because I love Christmas music. Hope you enjoy this one and a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Thanks so much Myrna & Mary Evelyn for sharing. Here's another great one, "The Christmas Shoes" by Newsong. Enjoy!

I'm usually a happy go lucky kind of guy. I'm a Christian.

I love music, BUT, I must confess that I dislike most popular Christmas songs. So much rubbish is dug out every year and assails my ears in every store and place I visit.

Aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh. no more.

There are some lovely hymns which remember Christ's birth. I prefer many of these to traditional carols. What an old misery?

'See Amid The Winter's Snow'

This is probably my favourite
