Dr. Max's Everyday Raw SuperFood Mix
The Healthiest Thing You Could Ever Eat!
Shake it, Bake It, Or Eat It Raw!

Question: What makes this product different from a high-grade protein powder I can buy at the health food store?

Answer: Dr. Max's Everyday Raw Superfood Mix is not simply a protein powder. It's a superfood mix that has greater health benefits and dietary components that actually feed the body with the food it needs to be healthy. The body needs a balance of protein, carbohydrates, essential fatty acids, and fiber to maintain optimal health. Typical protein powders have various forms of these elements, but they are processed and refined to make a powdered blend, which ultimately alters their true benefits. But Dr. Max's Everyday Raw Superfood Mix is different - every ingredient in this formula is totally natural, and between 97%- 98% raw, and, it can be used to make dozens of different things - not just a shake. There really is no category for this superfood blend because there truly is nothing like it!

Question: What is gluten, and why is gluten-free so important?

Answer: Gluten is one of the most complex proteins consumed by man. It's a very large molecule relative to other food molecules, and for that reason, it is difficult for the human digestive system to break down. Gluten occurs in four main grains: Wheat, rye, barley and oats. It is present in all types of wheat grain like whole grain wheat, wheat bran, spelt, triticale and others - including white bread and white flour. This means that gluten is also present in all baked foods that are made from these grains: bread, pies, cakes, breakfast cereals, porridge, cookies, pizza and pasta. There are thousands of processed foods which contain gluten.

The reason gluten-free is so important is due to the digestive challenges that gluten can present. Problems begin when gluten reaches the small intestine. In sensitive individuals, gluten actually tears holes in the lining of the gut, creating all sorts of gastrointestinal issues. These issues can allow bacteria and foreign particles to pass into the bloodstream causing immune issues and some serious health challenges. And if you are unaware of the fact that the gluten in your diet is the cause of various symptoms and health challenges in your body, continuing to eat gluten can only make you sicker. In fact, it's estimated that 99% of people who have problems with eating gluten don't even know it! The symptoms are passed off as other things, and the body continues to struggle to maintain health and wellness. The high incidence of gluten sensitivity - especially in those who are not aware of it - is why Dr. Max's Everyday Raw Superfood Mix is a gluten-free formula so that every body is fed only the best ingredients to maintain the best health!

Question: This product is said to have low sugars, but the ingredient deck has the sweeteners Xylitol, LoHan Guo and Stevia listed. What are those sweeteners?

Answer: : Let's take these one by one so you can see the careful selection of each of these ingredients in this superfood mix:

  • Xylitol is a natural sugar alcohol derived from organic Birch trees (in our case, however, it can also be derived from corn). It has a very low glycemic index of 7, and 85% of Xylitol is used in the liver to fuel metabolic functions including the production of glycogen and glutathione. Xylitol is not considered a fast sugar which prevents it from causing a undesirable reaction to elevated glycemic levels in the body.
  • LoHan Guo is a fruit that grows in China, and has been used as a sweetener, as well as for medicinal use for hundreds of years. It is said to be 300 times sweeter than sugar, so very little is used or needed, and therefore has almost no calories, and no affect on glycemic levels in the blood. Some of it's long-standing medicinal uses include: longevity, vitality, throat infections, coughs, constipation, heat stroke, and even diabetes.
  • Stevia is an herb grown in South America that also has a very long history of use. It tends to be much sweeter than sugar, and is non-caloric. Stevia consumption is very high in Japan, and historically, it has been used to do the following: aid diabetic and hypoglycemic patients, lower blood pressure, aid in digestion, reduce gas and decrease stomach acid, in the treatment of obesity, as a general tonic to increase energy levels and mental acuity, to decrease and retard gum decay, as well as to help with a variety of skin conditions when applied topically.

Question: I try to eat more protein then carbs, and I see that this product has carbs. How will this affect my diet goals?

Answer: Along with protein, carbohydrates are a macronutrient that we all should eat in relatively large amounts to maintain health and wellness. But in actuality, our bodies don't require carbohydrates because we can get our energy from protein and fats. However, in practice, carbohydrates are the most common source of caloric energy for most people. When you get imbalanced about the carbohydrates you eat, it can lead to obesity - one of the biggest health problems in this country. But it's not wise to think of all carbohydrates as "bad" because when the right carbs are consumed in the right quantity, you can experience optimum health. Our superfood mix uses the most beneficial form of carbohydrates - complex carbs - and in the perfect ratio with our proteins, fats and fiber so that they create steady energy and optimally balanced nutrition. Your weight loss goals are healthier when you have the balance you need to truly feed your body.

Question: The ingredient deck says this product has EFAs. What are those?

Answer: EFAs are Essential Fatty Acids - which are commonly known as the "good fats" that every person needs in their daily diet. EFAs are necessary fats that humans cannot synthesize on their own, and therefore, must be obtained through diet. There are two families of EFAs: Omega-3 and Omega-6. Omega-3 EFAs support cardiovascular, reproductive, immune and nervous system functions in particular, while Omega-6 EFAs further support the Omega-3 EFAs as the body converts these acids into gamma linoleum acid which helps improve diabetic neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, PMS, skin disorders and can aid in cancer treatment.

Question: Why is fiber so important?

Answer: Dr. Max's Everyday Raw Superfood Mix is a great source of daily fiber, and an important part of a healthy diet. The reason that fiber is so important is because it aids in healthy digestion, and helps to keep your entire digestive tract healthy and working optimally. Additionally, getting the proper amount of fiber in your diet can help reduce heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and gall and kidney stones. The type of natural fiber found in this superfood blend is in the perfect balance to help you maintain good digestion and weight control, as well as can help to prevent constipation and various diseases.

Question: I come across products all the time that say that have all natural ingredients. What does that even mean?

Answer: Reading the labels and the claims of many "healthy foods" can be confusing. Food manufacturers, and companies who market their products, recognize the value of the term "all natural." Unfortunately, there is not a complete consensus as to what this claim really means, and therefore, it falls upon the consumer to better understand this branding. But with regard to Dr. Max's Everyday Raw Superfood Mix, no matter what definition you use, every ingredient used to make this formula is in it's most natural form. We believe that the quality of the ingredients that go into the product make a difference, and so we are committed to using only the best, natural raw ingredients we can find. For us, natural is defined like this:

Natural Ingredients are:

  • present in, or produced by nature

  • free of all petrochemicals

  • not extracted or processed using anything other than natural ingredients
