God’s Wisdom and His Purpose

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/15/12

Matthew 7:11 “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts

unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in

heaven give good things to them that ask him?” (KJV)

God’s wisdom and His purpose don’t always match with mine.

But this one thing I’m thankful for, I know His is divine.

I may not understand it. It’s not always mine to see.

I cannot know the future for it’s not revealed to me.

This is where our faith comes in to trust God’s loving care.

So the things that trouble me, I must call on Him to bear.

He sees our every footstep and knows each time we fall.

He knows my mind and motives. For sure He knows it all.

When I pray and ask of God to change somebody’s plight

I must trust His purpose that He always does what’s right.

He sees and knows what I cannot, so His choice is always best.

This can give our heart great peace and put our mind at rest.

God’s love guides His purpose. God’s wisdom guides His choice.

Daily seek them in His Word and listen to His voice.

When prayers are not answered in the way we think they should.

Remember God still loves us and desires what’s best and good.

Matthew 10:29-31 “Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear ye not therefore, ye are of more value than many sparrows.”

(KJV)

Evermore With Christ Our Lord

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/22/12

I’m looking forward to that day

When the saints are caught away.

And were changed for evermore from feet of clay.

As in Scripture we are told

We will walk the streets of gold.

Evermore we’ll live with Christ and not grow old.

(Chorus)

Evermore with Christ our Lord,

Evermore we’ll see our Savior’s blessed face.

All our tears are wiped away

On that resurrection day.

Evermore we’ll praise Him for amazing grace.

There’ll be reunion evermore

As we walk that golden shore.

Evermore with blessed friends we’ve known before.

The blood Christ shed on Calvary

Cleansed my heart and set me free.

That is why we’ll sing the songs of victory.

Cinders in the Eye

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/25/12

Luke 6:41-42 “Why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye,

but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Either how canst

thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine

eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” (KJV)

See this wooden 2x4 protruding from my eye?

It shows that I am qualified to help the other guy.

I can sense the tiny cinder just below his lash.

I only want to help him get rid of all that trash.

I’m willing to help others remove cinders from their eye.

But as for my own 2x4, I hardly ever try.

You see, my plank has been there for nearly thirty years.

With my skill of finding flaws it seldom interferes.

One time a fellow offered to help me get it out.

But he simply did not understand what mine was all about.

To me it’s not a handicap but a reminder of man’s plight.

It makes me better qualified to point out their missed blight.

A cinder in the eye would surely bother me.

That is why I am so anxious in helping others see.

I hope it doesn’t bother you, my pointing out your flaw.

I just feel it is my calling to tell you what I saw.

Our Blessed Hope

By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/7/12

Titus 2:13-14 “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious

appearing of the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ; Who

gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity,

and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” (KJV)

Could it be that in this year

Our blessed Savior will appear?

We’ll be caught up in the air,

Then His glory we will share.

This “blessed hope” is in God’s Word

And by this hope our hearts are stirred.

At any moment He’ll appear

And I believe that time is near.

His promises do not forget.

Salvation’s call do not neglect.

The signs are in the Middle East,

Then will appear the Devil’s beast.

If you’re not sure you’re born again,

By faith invite the Savior in.

His shed blood can make you whole,

Cleanse your heart and save your soul.

John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God,

believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if

it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for

you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again,

and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV)
