Noah and New Math (1+1=3)
By Rev. Dean Beaty 1/31/12
Hebrews 11:7 “By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet,
moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.” (KJV)
Methuselah was the oldest man - and he was Noah’s grandpa.
The people living on the earth - did not obey God’s law.
Mankind was very sinful - by the deeds that they had done.
To preserve the human race - God destroyed everyone.
So God told Noah to build an Ark - and said how deep and wide.
“Bring two of every animal - to keep them safe inside.”
“One male and one female - to repopulate the earth.”
Except for Noah’s family - God found in man no worth.
God said that He would send a flood - to destroy all things with breath.
Just eight souls God kept alive - all else would meet their death.
For forty days and forty nights - God sent great torrents down.
And everything that breathes the air - eventually would drown.
When dry ground appeared again – they worshiped God on high,
God promised not to flood the earth - and put a rainbow in the sky.
The Lord will judge all men one day - the living and the dead.
The child of God will be kept safe - by the blood that Jesus shed.
