Here's one from USA, not new, it's been around for over 5 years...this one bugs me: The expression: "my bad" Meaning: my mistake (the person admits a mistake but it's NOT an apology) When said with a smile, "my bad" is usually forgiven as a mistake, but later in thinking about it, if the other person THINKS about it, no apology was given! I wonder if we would ask the person who says "my bad" if they know it's NOT an apology...will they smile again and say "my bad" again? Probably!
