God Chooses and Uses Nobodies
By Rev. Dean Beaty 11/13/11
I Corinthians 1:26-27 “For ye see your calling, brethren, how
that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not
many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things
of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak
things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” (KJV)
There are not many wise men who are chosen by the Lord.
For God has all the wisdom and He’s our Great reward.
There are not many mighty for they trust in their own strength.
God is the “Almighty One” who spread the stars at length.
Nor does He choose the noble who from men their praises ring.
Why does God need nobles when He’s the King of Kings?
He chose to call the foolish who through God confound the wise.
God also calls the weak that men would otherwise despise.
These base things of the world and those who men despise;
The Lord has chosen them and their precious in His eyes.
No matter what the calling, through Christ they win the day.
No pride of self-reliance, which will always block the way.
So don’t despise your background, God can use you as you are,
But give to Him the glory through the use of His great power.
The honor and the glory should belong to God alone.
God supplies our every need when He’s the one on our heart’s throne.
I Corinthians 1:28-29 “And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to naught things that are: that no flesh should glory in his presence.” (KJV)
