"sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open..." alexander grahm bell

there is a door that will always be open to us, so we do not need to dwell on the door that closes to us. the one door that is always open to us is the presence of the divinity that lives within. that divine presence is an open door, so any doors that shut are not of the divine and should not be dwelled on.

the door leading to the divinity in us shuts only because of our inner hardness. however, the soft, moist, tenderness in us provides an open door to the divinity in us. we can see that door because we recognize the qualities of goodwill, kindness, meekness, and gentleness. we experience patience and self-control that opens into the joy and goodness within. the open door we need to see enters the area of peace, love, faith, and perseverance.

when the door closes to a healthy lifestyle we become entrapped into a destructive repetition. who would want to be locked into a room where your health was purposely being torn down, leading to tragic results. a locked room filled with smoke that altered your frame of mind, and polluted your inner organs. in addition, a locked room where your only choice of beverage was intoxicating liquids creating addictions and uncontrolled behavior. there would be no way out unless you could see an opening in the door, an escape into a palce of healthy living. that open door is where we discover self-control, love for our own body, and goodwill to our own health. the divinity in us provides us with that welfare for our body, and is found within the moist tenderness of our inner being.

when doors close to a safe environment to establish our security we begin to feel terrorized. who would want to be held in a locked room where you felt threatened, fearful, and in a panick? we need to be able to see our way out into a place of safety and security. we need to see the door that opens to a place of peace, love, faith, comfort, and joy. in the presence of those qualities we feel safe and secure. the moist, tender, and soft qualities in us provides one another that safety, and is the door where the divinity is found in us.

when doors close and we are not accepted by others we feel as though we do not belong in society. who would want to be locked in a room, alone and isolated from others, with no communication, contact, or social interaction? that is a cruel and hateful thing to isolate others from companionship, affection, and loving integration. when we feel alone and isolated we need to see an open door where there is goodwill for us, kindness given, and love felt from one another. we need to see the divinity in us where our inner being opens to feel the love, kindness, and goodwill of that divine presence. let's welcome an open door to the tenderness that lives in us so that we can welcome others into a loving social integration.

when the doors close to receiving esteem from others we lose our sense of value to others. we would feel worthless, with low self-esteem, as if we are a burden to those around us. who would want to be locked in a room where we were subject to insults, painful rumors, intolerance to us, abuses, and ridicules? we would need to find a way out, to seek a remedy for the unbearable "hazing". we need to see the door that opens to the divinity that lives within. that divine presence fills our inner esteem with a sense of love, joy, comfort, and peace. because we remain open to the soft qualities in us we feel a renewal of self-worth, inner value, and esteem.

when the doors close to the freedom in our self-expression we are not given the opportunity to communicate goodness in words or deeds. who would want to be in a locked room where you were commanded to speak cruel, angry words, or to respond with behavior that is harsh, arrogant, and harrassing? from our own words and deeds we would become destructive to self and others, feeling remorse and depressed with no way out. we need to see the open door where there is pleasant, soothing, and peaceful communication in the words spoken and deeds performed. that door opens by the divine presence in us where the tender qualities of meekness, gentleness, peace, love, and kindness are seen.

some people do not want us to see that open door of peace, love, faith, and perseverance. they want to keep us locked behind closed doors where anger and depression fills thoughts and emotions. they refuse to bring mutual agreement because they want to keep the door shut to goodwill, kindness, and harmony. however, acceptance of an open door to the divinity in us is the only entrance into peace, love, faith, and social harmony.

entering into the door of the divine presence is something we need to experience, and to see. we see that door when we recognize the soft, moist, tender qualities of our inner being. an open door into the presence of goodwill, kindness, meekness, gentleness, joy, goodness, patience, and self-control brings a social cohesion that we desire to see.
