The Blessings of Peace
By Rv. Dean Beaty 7/1/11
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God,
which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” (KJV)
Have you counted all the blessings that God’s peace brings to your heart?
There’s our future home in heaven, that’s a wondrous place to start.
The knowledge that our sins, by Christ’s blood are washed away.
The peace that God remembers that our feet are made of clay.
The peace of always knowing you can go to God in prayer.
There is not a single problem for which the Father does not care.
Prayer lines are never busy. He knows our needs before we call.
Every need finds grace and mercy whether they are big or small.
There is never a power shortage. No computer to go down.
There’s no hard drive that can crash and no memory to drown.
God knows the very number of the hairs upon our head.
He has given us His Spirit that we might be daily led.
There is also peace in the knowing that God always keeps His word.
There is wondrous peace in knowing that His vision is not blurred.
Peace that passes understanding. Peace beyond our wildest dream
And the day is soon approaching when our Lord will reign supreme.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth,
give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (KJV)
