Patiently Waiting
By Rev. Dean Beaty 6/30/11
Revelation 22:20 “He which testifieth these things saith,
Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.” (KJV)
Do you ever get impatient for the coming of the Lord?
We know that He is coming for it’s promised in His Word.
With corruption all around and the church in great decline.
If we didn’t know the truth we might think we’re left behind.
Though the world is in the lap of the wicked one it’s true. (I John 5:19)
Of the winning of the lost, our Savior is not through.
Our altars may be empty when the invitation’s sung
But thousands are still saved who speak a different tongue.
Our Savior died for them as He did for you and me.
His faithful ears are open to hear their humble plea.
If God can save a thousand by delaying one more year,
I will say then, “Even so Lord,” and His wise decision cheer.
It does not mean I’ve slackened in looking for my King.
I will praise Him for His patience so more souls with Him He’ll bring.
I’m thankful that His coming wasn’t before I met the Lord.
And I’m thankful that His purpose is that more may hear His Word.
I Corinthians 15:51-52 “Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall
all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet
shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (KJV)
