Here's how I promote GDI and make a little extra money on the side as well. In fact, using this technique, my GDI promotions actually pay their own way.

I use GDI Coop, and, as a paid member, I have selected to be on "auto pilot". This costs me about $10.00 a month. GDI Coop pays a small commission for people I add. It took me a few months to get there, but I now get commissions which pay for that subscription, plus some more, and that does not even include the commissions from GDI itself.

Now, you can't just sit back and let GDI Coop do all the work. However, I have found that by placing banner ads on various traffic sites, I get a lot of hits and a regular flow of new downline members.

I recommend using Traffic Hoopla to find the best traffic exchanges and increase your own website traffic.
