Help Thou Mine Unbelief
By Rev. Dean Beaty 10/6/10
Mark 9:23-24 “Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are
possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child
cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” (KJV)
While in the flesh we will still have doubt.
Christ says believe that I’ll work it out.
Faith maybe small, that we’ll find relief.
Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.
Our greatest need is to seek God’s face.
To trust that He will extend His grace,
And meet my need though my faith is small,
While trusting that, God’s in charge of all.
God knows the trials that I face each day.
Trust in His Word that He’ll make a way.
Even with faith as a mustard seed.*
God will accept to meet our need.
Lord, I believe; help my unbelief.
May not my doubts turn my heart to grief.
Help my faith grow as the mustard seed,
Into a tree and my faith succeed.
* Matthew 17:19-20 “Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said,
Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus said unto them, Because of
your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of
mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” (KJV)
