Photo Courtesy of Pauline DeForest It's a beautiful new morning. The air is cool, crisp and full of hints of warmth to come. Off in the distance is the trickle of a water fountain. Quiet seems to ooze out of the ground. A deep breath touches all the points of contentment in your soul. But alas, you have to put the coffee cup down and head out in the noise and haste of the day. So how do you carry that moment forward into the day? The answer is at once simple and very difficult. You carry with you, in your inner core being...that contented peace that can seep into every part of your soul...as long as you stay in touch with it during the day. Just acknowledge that you carry that feeling where ever you go...that you can reach down and find it every time you need it. Then during the day when things appear to be getting away on you...stop...take a deep breath...and search within you for that place...and let it escape the confines of that place where you hold it...and again let it seep out to every part of your body. Remember that that inner peace is like a muscle you have to exercise so that it grows and gets stronger. Here is a beautiful little quote you should carry with you and stop and read every once in awhile during the day. Source: Thich Nhat Hahn This is your first step. Find peace in every step. And take time to walk in quiet places. Nick
