My Tribute to Ted Kennedy
By Rev Dean Beaty 8/26/09
Numbers 32:23 “Be sure your sins will find you out.” (KJV)
Habakkuk 2:15 “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink,
that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken…” (KJV)
His wealth came from the booze that his great-grandfather sold.
The many lives thus ruined by this crime cannot be told.
He should have been in jail but money has its clout.
But this is final proof; “Be sure your sins will find you out.”
Too late now to repent of the sins that he had sown.
Though not judged while on earth, in eternity they are known.
Now he knows the consequence of disobeying God,
For Kennedy is dead and soon beneath the sod.
I do not mourn his passing for he lived on misery.
The lives cut short or ruined while they lived fancy free.
God’s Word gives a curse on those who make men drunk.
This act of cruel sin is lower than a skunk.
Now we’ll spend a week in liberal media praise.
But if the truth were told, he now is in a blaze.
You say, “You are too harsh to pass this judgment so.”
No! I just tell the truth for you’ll reap just what you sow.
