More Updates on Surf Junky.
Thank you Brian & to James & Billy for your replies on this 'Official' scam.
Some good friends of mine who run a very ethical free traffic exchange have contacted me & informed me that they to have been burned by Surf Junky.
They have also posted on their site that all ads for this program will be deleted in the next few hours, & anyone trying to re-advertise it will lose their memberships.
The site that Brian mentions in his post.
http://www.directfraud.com
Is one that I personally have belonged to for sometime now. it is a good source for finding out the newest scams out there.
More updates on the 'phising emails' will follow, unfortunately the spam folder that I saved them to got 'emptied' over the weekend before I could copy them, but no doubt more will be arriving today in one of our various email post box's.
As soon as I find them, I will post them. Most are quite obvious, however I did receive a couple which looked very offical from ebay, even ebay were stunned by them. They are total fraud scams & I believe from what ebay told us, they are trying to find the originator of this email & prosecute them.
Here is the email, the main reason we knew it was fake, is because the address it was sent to is one we use for emails 'in,' it has never been used for emails 'out'. So we knew we had not subscribed to anything with that address.

Dear eBay Community Member,
It has come to our attention that your eBay Billing Information records
are out of date.
That requires you to update the Billing Information If you could please
take 5-10 minutes out of your online experience and update your
billing records, you will not run into any future problems with eBay's
online service.
However, failure to update your records will result in soon account
termination. Once you have updated your account records, your eBay
session will not be interrupted and will continue as normal. Failure to
update will result in cancellation of service, Terms of Service
(TOS) violations or future billing problems.

Thank you for using eBay!
**This is no-reply message. Please do not reply to this email, as you
will receive no response**
As you can see this is almost a month old now, but we did receive two more emails after this which were passed on to Ebay. If you click on the link (Not advised) the page you are directed to is authentic to the last detail, there is even a fraud warning link, which tells you how to spot fraudulent emails from ebay. This is where we got our second clue, as the email address the message is sent from is 'not official'
If any of you where unlucky enough to receive this email DO NOT follow the instruction, instead, send it to.

More later.
