FORGIVING LOVE By Rev. Dean Beaty 8/05/09 Romans 5:6-8 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (KJV) Oh what a joy to be forgiven by my loving Lord. Not only just forgiven but cherished and adored. Even though He knows me as the sinner that I am. He became my sacrifice, God’s bleeding dying Lamb. To think that Jesus knew for sure the sinner that I was, And yet this awful knowledge never even gave Him pause. Not only for my sinfulness did Jesus come to die, But for every one that ever lived. It makes me wonder why? What would make Him bother to be born here on the earth? To live among such sinners whose total value had no worth. Love beyond all measure for each one He did create. For only He could save them from their lost hell-bound estate. Thank you Lord for loving me while yet so deep in sin. Thank you for the promises that You will come again. Thank you for the home prepared to live with Thee above. Thank you Lord for giving me Your all-forgiving love.
