NO VACANT MANSIONS
By Rev. Dean Beaty 6/7/09
John 14:1-3 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.” (KJV)
There are no vacant mansions in God’s home in heaven above.
Has He ever lost a child who once trusted in His love?
And for sure there’ll be no shortage in the number He has planned.
For God keeps His children safely in the hollow of His hand.
Have you made your reservation, has your name been written there
In the Book of Christ the Lamb where it’s protected by His care?
Just remember God is faithful and He’s promised you a home.
It’s for sure that you can trust Him while upon His earth you roam.
No, there’ll be no vacant mansions left unclaimed when Jesus calls.
There’ll be no haunting echoes brought about by empty halls.
God gave His only Son as the payment for our sin.
So the mortgage has been paid and awaits our coming in.
Only one thing can be vacant, that’s our storehouse of reward,
If we fail in faithful service to our Master and our Lord.
By fire our works are tested. Will they stand God’s scrutiny?
If so, they’ll be rewarded throughout all eternity.
