THE TAPESTRY OF OUR LIFE
By Rev. Dean Beaty 6/7/09
I Peter 1:7 “That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold
that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honor
and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:” (KJV)
There’s a tapestry God’s weaving of our lives from day to day.
The problem that we’re facing we don’t see it in God’s way.
We only see the backside with its jumbled mess of thread.
While God’s perfect plan and purpose, all before His eyes are spread.
He sees the finished product with its purpose well defined.
Yet often we see nothing and we walk as though we’re blind.
God says, “Please learn to trust me? In the end you’ll clearly see.”
We’ll see and know His purpose once we’re in eternity.
The things we think are trials are really blessings in disguise.
So we must learn to trust Him till He opens up our eyes.
God’s ways are not our ways for we’re only finite man.
Praise God, He’s in control and He’s working out His plan.
With a point of irritation God creates a wondrous pearl.
Will we trust Him in the hard times till we see His plan unfurl?
Our faith is grown through trials and it’s strengthened through the flame.
Remember our perfecting is God’s purpose and His aim.
