RELIGION OR RELATIONSHIP? By Rev. Dean Beaty 6/3/09 John 3:5 “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” (KJV) Do you have religion or a relationship with God, Through Jesus Christ His Son? All else is wholly flawed. Only through Christ’s blood can one be born again. All else is just religion and cannot cleanse from sin. Religion is for good folk that do not need the Lord. While Christ is for the sinner whose sins have been abhorred. Mercy is what we need by grace through faith alone. Religion on its own will not for sin atone. For our time on this earth religion is quite nice. But it will never do to enter paradise. Religion may be good and our good, men may applaud. But a relationship with Christ - makes one a child of God. Believe in God’s own Son and invite the Savior in. All else is but to fail and cannot save from sin. Religion or relationship the two are not the same. One is faith in works the other faith in Christ’s name. Acts 4:12 “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” (KJV)
