Washington, D.C. - The federal government (FTC) is having its hands full with trying to monitor many of the on line businesses that claim big returns for hardly any investment or none at all. One such business is REGENISIS. The smooth talking announcer gives a great pitch as to why one needs to get on board but that is not the major concern of the FTC. It's the form they want you to " print out " and mail in; one that asks for your social security number, mailing address and other " personal data. "
While most affiliate programs require this data gained from a secure website ( https://) , this one does not and asks for the person to print out the application, pay an upfront amount and a one time sign up fee - then you are in the program, one that seems to have no licence to operate.
An FTC spokesperson noted that, " most people today are sophisticated enough not to fall for the scams out their on the Internet, and this one has all the makings of a program to be leery of. "
When you check over the web pages, their is no date listed as to when the site was copy written; that's always a red flag. And the 800 numbers listed get a recorded message. The next thing is the pages counter. It appears that over 1 million people have viewed the site. That could mean 10% have signed on and the down line extraordinary, and with no hope of the little guy getting an income at all.
FTC officials in Washington State will be watching this one for sure, and BCN NEWS will do its job to keep you informed as well.
