LOVED  BUT  LOST

Queeny was a special dog almost a superstar.

She’d grab the kitty by the neck and bring it to the car.

When we moved from Florida of course our dog came too.

Stopping to get gasoline we made a bad miscue.

After many, many miles and sure not by design,

We made a sad discovery that she was left behind.

Our hearts were more than broken for she was loved by all.

We could not turn around in this lumbering u-haul.

A year slipped sadly by before we could return.

Would Queeny still be there?  Read on and you will learn.

The owner of the store had taken Queeny in

She was safe and sound although a little thin.

Next time we counted noses to make sure all were there.

But there’s no time for counting when Christ comes in the air.

No time for quick conversion, no time to change your mind.

And there’ll be no returning to get those left behind.

But there is time right now for you to get on board.

Just by simple faith you can call upon the Lord.

His arms are open wide and His heart is true and kind.

Then when Christ returns you will not be left behind.
