FORGET NOT ALL HIS BENEFITS
By Rev. Dean Beaty 3/18/09
Psalm 103:2-5 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth
thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
Have you praised the Lord for the blessings He has given?
The bounty of the earth, a home prepared in heaven.
Because our days are full, whole days can come and go.
Our thankfulness and gratitude we fail to let Him know.
We need to take the time to stop and look around.
Our hands to do the work, our children that are sound,
The freedom we possess in this blest land of ours,
The sunshine and the rain, the spring and summer flowers.
We don’t need the lottery. We’ve the promise of God’s Word.
We’re the children of the King. Our future is assured.
He knows our every need, as He knows the sparrows fall. (Luke 12:6-7)
He promises to hear our weakest feeble prayer.
There’s so much to thank God. Just a part would fill a book.
We take a lot for granted and we tend to overlook.
Just look into the sky. There’s the miracle of sight.
Some don’t have this gift, for blindness is their plight.
Some folk that have good eyes still are unaware
And never stop to thank their gracious God in prayer.
Start each day by counting the blessings God has given.
This will lift your load while on your way to heaven.
Luke 12:6-7 “Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten
before God? But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore:
ye are of more value than many sparrows.” (All scriptures a taken from the KJV)
